Looking for Mr Spearman, SOMEONE HELP

I don't know what to do. Nobody I know will help. If I was a member of any forums or something I'd go there but I'm not. This is a cry for help. I need to find a MR SPEARMAN, if anyone can help, please tell me!
I have a friend, Andy, who's gone missing. I've known him for years. He's always been a bit of a nomad, even before I knew him. He was an army brat, so his family moved a lot, and as an adult he's taken off for months at a time and he always comes back with amazing stories for me. He hitches a lot, I knew that would go bad for him one day. He was staying at my place, and two days ago I got up and just found a note. I've attached the image above. He never just takes off like that, he always lets me know. That was bad enough. Early this morning I got a phonecall. The line was really bad and there was so much background noise - motorbikes, trucks, crowds of people - made me think of the Middle East. Andy was on the line, he said something like "Get me out of here, Are you there? Soulless, they're soulless.... don't talk... where I am.... get help!!! Contact Mr Spearman!" He said "Spearman" a few times. He also said something about a bad man, a bad man had him or something. I've remembered the best I could.
I went to the police, but when I showed them the note they said it was none of their business if a grown man goes on holiday and if he wasn't back in December, to come back. He doesn't have any family here, they died when he was 16. He doesn't have many friends, I'm all he has. He's my best friend, he's like a brother to me. Please help me!

I had no idea anyone was reading this. I'd just about given up on it.

  3. No problem Ellis. Well, we don't know for certain that it is a real guy; we've trusted him so far though. Try emailing him and see. Do let us know what happens though.

Maybe the friendly people here could help you find Spearman: http://dbchat.forumotion.co.uk/

  12. Ellis,

Have you thought perhaps Andy Nyman went to Marrakech, Morocco? It is busy, with lots of people buzzing around. Hitch-hiking is common. Also, people tend to wake up there, lost and quite confused.

    Good luck!
    Jeremy

  13. Ellis,
Sorry to hear about your friend.

There's some info and loads of people that might help you at this forum:- http://dbchat.forumotion.co.uk/forum.htm

Did Andy have a job? I think when he says "they're Soulless he's referring to a company called Solos (pronounced Soulless). Have you ever heard of them?

  14. Ellis, you'll find Spearman here too: www.twitter.com/solosenigma - do you have a twitter feed??

  23. Spearman gave us some compass references, shown on clocks. The first one read 3:31, the second read 2:08. He said use googlemaps. I don't know how to use the references but together I'm sure we'll figure it out.

And "soulless" is almost certainly "solos", i you know what that is?

I think Marrakech could be worth checking out too, but I'm not sure about that one.

  24. Could it be that the Andy you are talking about, is Andy Nyman? Then maybe it will be easier for us to help you... The more we know, the better! Please fill us in!

  25. if andy has no family what kind of emergency do you think it will be, who else is friends with andy, have you contacted them??

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ellis. I think we can help, however it a situation like this the more information the better. Andy's surname, for example, would be extremely useful.

Does Andy use any social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Myspace? Do you have a link to his profile on any site he uses?

Please keep us up to date if you hear more from Andy, or Mr Spearman.

    Thanks,

    DG

  27. if its google maps I would say its a six figure grid reference x and y axis so its 331208 i'll go have a look but sure this has been done to death already

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ellis, does Ludgate mean anything to you?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I reckon it would be backwards though Storm, no? I don't think you can put grid references into google maps, nothing seems to happen. Longitude and latitude lines?

Could it be Turkey? Çiğli, 8041. Sk, 35620 Yeni, Turkey (Latitude 1351, Longitude 8041). No other options were anywhere near the middle East. One Mexico and one South Korea.

  30. Hi Sally I agree i think it would be backwards. Just a stab in the dark to be honest. Lots has happened since I looked so catching up.

Ellis - we need your email address in order to provide you with private info - like phone numbers so you can text us any extra info you have quickly. If thats possible. Also we need to know how we can help you, what things you have found out already so we are not covering old ground.
